On the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the end of World War II, and under the patronage of UNESCO International Centre for Human Sciences, Cadmus Project Ltd. held an exhibition/event under the title of "Peace Cards from Lebanon 2005", where around 6000 elementary students from 20 various schools all over Lebanon took part.

The event took place from 7 to 11 October 2005, at the UNESCO International Centre for Human Sciences Garden in Byblos - Jbeil, Lebanon.
Objective of the Event
  1. To remind the world of the disaster caused to humanity by World War II, and to invite world leaders to resolve crises through peaceful means.
  2. To allow the Lebanese students to express their ultimate will in keeping their country away from political violence and war.
Nature of the Event
The exhibition included more than 6000 cards, all original artwork, created by Lebanese students from 20 different schools depicting the theme of peace.

During the event the visitors were invited to choose a card and on the spot send it to any representative of a state within the United Nations to inform them of the student's call for peace.

Many visitors responded to this invitation positively and hundreds of peace cards were sent to the heads of states of USA, France, UK, Russia, China, and other countries as well as to the UN Secretary General. These cards were delivered later to the corresponding embassies and representatives in Lebanon.
Moreover, children visiting the exhibition were given the chance to draw their own peace cards at the spot and add their artwork to the exhibition. Hundreds of new peace cards were made through this art activity.
